Art One - Drawing the Human Eye

Art One students are beginning a long unit on portrait drawing. They began with instruction on using guidelines for facial features and are now doing multiple eye studies. After a lecture and classroom demonstration, they are to select ten sets of eyes provided in the classroom to draw for a grade.

After the following lecture, they are to complete a line drawing of flowers and a vase from observation, transfer an image using grid guidelines, redraw an photo image to a cross-contour drawing, draw flowers and a vase using a variety of expressive lines, create a line drawing of an original mask and then create a scratch art drawing of the same mask.
